Volunteer Opportunities

Learn about volunteer opportunities coordinated by the CNPS Marin Chapter and by other organizations in and around Marin County.

'First Thursdays' at the
Lyford House

Marin CNPS, in cooperation with Richardson Bay Audubon Center and Sanctuary, is developing the gardens at the Audubon site in Tiburon. The first project will be a pollinator garden in front of the historic Lyford House.
The schedule for 2015 has not yet been created

Join Marin County Parks for our regular drop-in volunteer program on Ring Mountain and help restore the native grasslands on this preserve. Drop-in days are on the last Saturday of every month January-October: 10 am to 1:00 pm.

Here you can find out about some of the volunteer opportunites sponsored and conducted by other organizations in and around Marin County.

"The Zen of Weeding" parties

This group meets the second Friday and second Sunday of every month from 1 to 3 P.M. in Samuel P. Taylor State Park.

Citizen Scientists Needed!

Help document the presence of Sudden Oak Death in Marin in 2015 - even in 'your own backyard'.  Attend a one-hour training session at Dominican University and then 'go out in the field' whereever you like in Marin County to collect samples!!
