Meetings of the Marin Chapter and of other Native Plant organizations often feature guest speakers and topics concerning public and private projects and legislation.

Come learn about backyard restoration gardening, natural design, habitat enhancement, and cultivating a wild food garden!

Numerous activities will be held in Marin County in conjunction with and recognition of the Fifth Annual California Native Plant Week (CNPW) - April 11-19. The Marin Chapter of CNPS is involved with and sponsoring many of these. More information is being posted on this website as events are finalized, so please check back periodically.

In September 2010, the California State Assembly and Senate established California Native Plant Week as the 3rd week of April each year The desire is to encourage community groups, schools, and citizens to undertake appropriate activities to promote the conservation, restoration, and appreciation of California's native plants.

Come tour the Hamilton Wetlands Restoration Project Site and Nursery to observe native plants and seasonal and tidal wetlands at various locations.

Novato Native Plant Day; Celebrate California's beautiful Oak Woodlands.

Tour a California oak woodland, take a (bring your own) lunch, and learn about gardening practices, especially planting under oak trees.
Advanced registration is required; limited to 15 particpants; $30 fee per participant.
